I survived the hospital - still feeling out of it and exhausted, but glad to have the needle out of my arm and all of my body parts mostly intact.

more sleep, then maybe hospital stories :P

Wow. Nothing like a two minute phone call to make you feel like a big fat jerk.

this breeze is heavenly. I have every window in the house open and stuff is flying off shelves, but I don't care cause it's dropped the temp of the apartment about 15 degrees in 10 minutes!

Someone just parked outside my apartment, blaring Numa Numa over their stereo before turning off the car.

Now I'm curious, but I can't see them from this angle!

a nasty cold/possible strep AND pinkeye? Come on now.

Guess I won't be relaxing at home today; Mt. Auburn walk in clinic to the rescue hopefully!

I'm done. Seriously. Enough.

Still needing the vicodin. back to bed i guess. This had better clear by tomorrow; there's piles of stuff for me to do at work!

I have crud. I also have to work this weekend. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

nausea, vertigo, congestion, sore throat, body aches, earache

and to top it all off, my wisdom tooth has started week 2 of continuous pain.

Shoot me now!

May have been right, but these guys from the Navy sure do! For more fun, search Numa Numa Navy :)

I passed with flying colors, in 45 minutes. I think I was overstudying! :)

Brain melting.

to much studying.....

BLAH~

I'll be glad when I've taken and passed this stupid certification exam. Anyone wanna celebrate with me tomorrow if I do?

cause i'm home sick today:

On the theory that we could all use a hearty dose of positive energy and general warm fuzziness while we wait, none too patiently, for better times; that *no* one I know is getting told often enough what a good job they are doing just getting through this crazy, lovely world. Take a second, and mention something you like about me (if such a thing exists) in the comments. Then repost this to your own journal, and have some goodness for yourself.

you're all still there, right?

The green line service from North Station to Lechmere is vastly under-served. I've waited, at rush hour on a weekday, for up to half an hour, watching 3, four, or sometimes even five trains go by with "no service" or "north station" signs, before a train to Lechmere. When the trains do come, they are unbearably congested, and often people are left on the platforms because no one else can fit.

Today, after waiting 30 minutes for a train, the first Lechmere train that came through was 1 car, at 3:51pm on a FRIDAY. We were packed in like sardines, and a few people didn't make it on the train. The four T employees that crammed onto the train kept telling people to move in, but there was absolutely no room anywhere. I mean, come on now, 1 train after 3:30pm on a Friday?

This is why I can't take the GM seriously when he talks about service cuts. You have to have service to begin with to cut it! The only cut they could make on the Lechmere line at this point that would be any different would be to cut service entirely!

My point is, the Lechmere station is a hub, and is heavily used, especially during rush hour as people try to get home to Somerville and Cambridge. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate more timely service on the green line - is wanting more than one train every 20 to 30 minutes really being unreasonable at rush hour?

I'm so sick of it taking me over an hour to travel 3 miles :(

I really am in love with this website.

www.thesixtyone.com

And you can find Rose Gerber on it and have a listen for yourself :) I really recommend "Crossed Wires" if you do have a look.

listen.....you'll probably like if you like folky strong women's voices! There's 2 min samples on her site

I plan on buying her albums soon as I have some spare $$: she was busking in Davis Square the other morning, and even in the subway her voice just was hauntingly beautiful!
